The Science Of Electrical Cars
Hlew Audience
In this technological era, we all are hearing about new inventions in our day-to-day life which making human life more and more easy & comfortable. So, today, we are going to know about a latest technology in one of them i.e.
Smart Electric Automobiles(cars).
- First Electrical Car
Evolution of ICE(Internal Combustion Engine)
By 1900, 28% of cars produced in the US were powered by an electric battery and one-third of the cars plying the roads of New York, Boston and Chicago were electric. Meanwhile, while the electric car industry was heading towards a booming future, Karl Benz had invented the world’s first modern car that used an ICE in 1885.
Developments in the field of ICE engines over the years led to more
refined engines that didn’t smell or had as many vibrations as the first
ones. In 1908, Henry Ford introduced a mass-produced petrol-powered car Model T, which changed the fate of the automobile industry.
After That, downfall was starts in Electrical automobiles & they were completely extinct
Now, In 21st centuary,
Tesla Introduced their first electric car ~
How These Cars Works?
These cars are Working on AI (artificial intelligence) & also working with the help of more than 100 individual intelligent sensors which are able to judge distance, read people, other vehicles on road and reading traffic lights etc. & These sensors usually work in cohesion with micro-controllers and embedded systems present inside the engine control unit (ECU)- Brain of a car.
The Internal working of Electric Car~
You must thinking that these cars carries a big sized battery in it but its not true, it carries 7000 small lithium-ion batteries which make these cars more efficient & also having some benefits that is:-- Longer Life Span
- Higher power density
- prevents overheating
Car Carries an INVERTER with it in the back side of the car which converts DC current to AC current & gives power to the engine that helps the vehicle to move. From inverter the electric power is catches by induction motor. In this whole process an INDUCTION MOTOR plays a very important role.
These vehicles are gear free or having no lever because These Vehicles are working on SINGLE SPEED TRANSMISSION that sends power from induction motor to wheels ~ that is how the Electrical energy is converted into Mechanical energy.
Working of Breaks?
Break is a very important part in every vehicle, These electric cars are working on an awesome technology, let we see how ~
when we accelerate---the car uses more energy & when we apply breaks then the mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy threw induction motor & travels back to the battery pack & is stored, so, we can able to use it later. It is obviously, a very efficient & effective way.
did you like it too, then tell me in comments.
okay, so, now discuss the different sources with you charge your electric vehiclesthere are mainly three levels to charge the vehicles:-
- Basic Charging:- At this level, we can charge our vehicle at our home & it uses around 120 volts outlet, which charges your vehicle approx 2-5 miles per hour i.e. 3-8 KMPH.
- Electric vehicle supply equipment:- It uses higher voltage of 220-240 volts & threw this electrical vehicle can be able to travel 10-25 MIPH i.e. 16-40 KMPH.
- Direct Current Charging Station:-It is a very effective method, it charges your vehicle upto 80% of you battery in less than half an hour.
- Average Sized Batter charging cost is around $5
- Bigger Sized Battery charging costs is around $15
